An aftermarket firmware based on Android 4.x. MIUI is officially developed by Xiaomi Tech for Chinese users but has been ported to a number of other languages as well. Its UI design is oftentimes compared to that of Apple's iOS. Official OTA updates are typically provided by Xiaomi every Friday.

The official MIUI website is available in English and Chinese.
