Samsung's first ever tablet device running Android. This was also the first ever tablet form-factor phone to run Android.

Launched in September, 2010, the Galaxy tab was Samsung's first foray into tablet sized devices which could also function as a phone.

Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000

The Galaxy Tab features a 7-inch (180 mm) TFT-LCD touchscreen, Wi-Fi capability, a 1.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A8 ("Hummingbird") processor, the Swype input system, a 3.2 MP rear-facing camera and a 1.3 MP front facing camera for video calls — running the Android 2.2 (Froyo) operating system. It supports phone functionality (as speaker phone, via provided wired ear piece or Bluetooth earpieces.), except those sold for US market.

Although it shipped with Android 2.2 (Froyo), there are indications that the device will be upgraded to v2.3 Gingerbread in the future.
