General aviation - frequently abbreviated as GA - is a broad term that covers all civil aviation activities apart from scheduled, commercial passenger flights. This includes non-commercial recreational flying, but also commercial flights such as corporate jet transport, private charters for passengers or cargo, agricultural flights (crop dusting), aerial surveying, photography, air ambulances, firefighting and many other activities.
