ICAO SARPs (Standards and Recommended Practices) are technical specifications that have been recommended by ICAO for member states to adopt as civil aviation policy. This tag should be used on questions about the specifications in the ICAO SARPs rather than about the actual civil aviation regulations in a given place.

ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices are technical specifications adopted by the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in order to achieve "the highest practicable degree of uniformity in regulations, standards, procedures and organization in relation to aircraft, personnel, airways and auxiliary services in all matters in which such uniformity will facilitate and improve air navigation." They are contained in the 19 Annexes to the Convention on International Civil Aviation, the convention which established ICAO.

ICAO SARPs do not themselves carry legal force, but are rather recommendations for policies that ICAO member states should adopt in their civil aviation regulations in order to further international uniformity in civil aviation regulations.

This tag should be used on questions about the ICAO SARPs. Questions about the civil aviation regulations that have been adopted in a given place should instead use the tag for that place's regulations. For example, questions about U.S. aviation regulations should use and questions about European Union aviation regulations should use .
