And this in turn has led me to Wolfram Alpha which has the best answer I can find so far:

But it's still pretty poor compared to water:

Are good phase diagrams really such a rare occurrence? What reference standard exists for industry? Is there a famous book people buy that has all this data in it?

  • @Mithoron, I'm happy ethanol is treated as a common rather than proper noun but sometimes it's useful to have the CH3CH2OH to search by. – AJP Oct 13 '15 at 07:36

  • Actually part of the motivation for my comment was just to add CH3CH2OH to the page for search engine indexing :) I know it probably won't be weighted as highly as if it was in the title but I think it'll be fine now. Thanks for your input! – AJP Oct 13 '15 at 12:41
  • Computerizing certainly makes sense... The problem is that there isn't a "phase diagram" markup language. So all phase diagrams would have to be reduced to some common format that a particular program could handle. The "problem" is that such work is "grunt" work. Not much glory in following the parade of elephants with a wheelbarrow and shovel. – MaxW Nov 16 '15 at 01:56
