Experienced VBA user looking to learn SQL.

I have been developing custom solutions for small to mid-size companies using Excel and VBA for the last 13 years, along with process documentation/improvement and report cycle development and management. Stepping into a project with a mid- to large-size organization where I need the ability to structure SQL statements to extract data from a proprietary database.
