The vast bulk of Mathematica's functionality is identical across the platforms it supports. However, there are some minor differences.

  • File systems
  • EMF and WMF graphics formats, which are only supported on Windows
  • Target compilers for Compile[]

There also seem to be some small bugs that are platform-specific, such as this one.

When I try to launch Mathematica 10 on my iMac with OS X 10.10, I get the message: To open 'Mathematica' you need to install the legacy Java SE runtime. However, a Mac version is not available on the Java legacy site so the answer seems to be no.
