I lead the Computational and Systems Biology Group at the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology Group - The University of Coimbra, Portugal. My main research interests are: * Generic organization principles of biochemical networks (metabolic and signal transduction) * Redox signaling and antioxidant protection * Metabolism of human erythrocytes * Development of computational tools for connecting design and performance of metabolic networks
