Find Windows 7 thumbnail file name?

What are the methods to find the original filename for a thumbnail contained within thumbs.db cache in windows 7? All I see is the file hash value.

How to force Windows XP to create thumbs.db on removable device (USB-stick)?

Via default Windows XP doesn´t create "thumbs.db"-files on removable devices, like usb-sticks. How can this be changed? I guess a registry setting would be the deal, but what entry in detail? Any hint to search for in the registry? Issue´s…

Windows shows me the thumbnail images but doesn't create Thumbs.db

I have some Revit files in a folder which Windows Explorer shows me the their thumbnails. See below. However, I cannot locate thumbs.db in the folder. Any idea?
