Thank you @Johannes_B, @Joseph Wright, @Alexis Pigeon
The problem is solved.
To make my question easier to be understood, I provide steps and files here to reproduce my error.
- Download template file from http://www.latextemplates.com/templates/theses/1/thesis_1.zip
- Adding
\cite{Reference1}in Chapter1.tex on line 12 - Compile the main.tex file
- The result is a [?] on page 14 in the output pdf
So my question is how to do citing?
\cite{Reference1}? – Alexis Pigeon Sep 08 '14 at 07:41\documentclass{...}and ending with\end{document}. You should also take a look at Question mark instead of citation number – Johannes_B Sep 08 '14 at 07:45.texand.bibfiles stripped down to the minimum for people here to be able to reproduce your issue. Otherwise, it's just guessing... – Alexis Pigeon Sep 08 '14 at 07:46latex/bibtex/latex/latexon your main file as it is explained in the link i gave you. @AlexisPigeon also told you so and Joseph as well. – Johannes_B Sep 08 '14 at 08:29
