Specifically, I would like to be able to complete this table:
symbol html entity LaTeX command
\deg ° \begin{alltt}\deg{alltt}
So that I have an entry for every HTML named entity listed in the official specs.
I appreciate that there may not be mappings for all of them, but the more the merrier.
I need this to check the conformance of a source document which is destined to be published in both HTML and LaTeX; the source document may already contain HTML named entities. Hence I need a chart of mappings to provide the conversions, or to issue conformance warnings for those that do not map.
\endfor{alltt}and then\verb+\def+might be better, or\texttt{\textbackslash deg}(or a\csmacro which does that). – Martin Scharrer Dec 04 '11 at 22:40
