TeXnicCenter Adobe Acrobat not working: "Cannot Execute The Command"

Question

I have a deadline to meet, so please be sympathetic if this is a low quality question.

Since I'm having the same problem, I have tried variations of the suggestions here:

I have had no success.

Here is my latest attempt:

Executable path:

 C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\AcroRd32.exe

View project's output, server:

acroviewR22

Forward search, server:

acroviewR22

Close document before running (La)TeX:

acroviewR22

I have AcroviewR22 (with uppercase A) as dde name (this is from a current reader). But you don't have to use adobe, you could also use sumatra, or another editor. — Ulrike Fischer, Mar 16 '22 at 16:02

even if I have another path: it doesn't matter where the reader is installed on my machine but where it is one yours. Check also the version. Do you really already have the 2022 version? — Ulrike Fischer, Mar 16 '22 at 17:43

...A22 is for acrobat pro, the reader uses ...R22. So it depends on what you actually have. – Ulrike Fischer Mar 17 '22 at 11:08
The path you show above in your screenshot is ...\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe, and that is acrobat pro, the reader has the path ...\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\AcroRd32.exe (I have both too, so I can compare). – Ulrike Fischer Mar 17 '22 at 12:54
