Is there no good way to write \not\iff?

It always comes out funky, and I'd like to avoid \nLeftrightarrow. Is there any good way to negate the longer \iff double implication arrow?

\mathcal{L} looks too "curly"

I'm using the \mathcal{L} to get a curly L (the upper "L" in the image below). However, I get the other "L" (the lower "L" in the image below). I do include \usepackage{amssymb} in my .tex file. My template can be found here

In the amssymb package, there are the \precapprox and \precnapprox symbols. But there isn't a \nprecapprox symbol. How can I create one?
