I like to experiment with both low-level and high-level constructs in (La)TeX.
Lately I have been playing a lot with fonts and documents with mixed languages, such as Japanese terms (written in Kanji/Kana/Romaji) in Swedish base text, in XeLaTeX.
I often like a ‘hands on’ approach, which can be seen in my answers. For example:
- ‘Answer’ to Which measurement units should one use in LaTeX? (This is more an exposé of background information than an answer), and,
- ‘Answer’ to OS X: umlauts in UTF8-NFD yield "Package inputenc Error: Unicode char \u8:̈ not set up for use with LaTeX" (which, again, explore and more fully expand the background of the question, rather than being an answer)
And to all: Happy (Xe)(La)TeX:ing
