Biblatex, basic usage, references not working

Question

I'm using BibLaTex for the first time and I have followed some Web tutorials to use it, but I cannot get it working properly. First, I had a problem when changing the reference style from alphanumeric to numeric, BibLaTex would not render the Bibliography page, but when I've tried to create a self-contained example today, I can't get the bibliography page rendered even if setting the style to alphanumeric. These are my files:
