Number the bibliography with biblatex

I created my bibliography style (author-year) using biblatex. References are generated using biblatex and sorted alphabetically.

I have a question: How do I add numbering to references without changing the style of the citation from 'author-year' to "numbered"?

Welcome to TeX.SX! Please help us help you and add a minimal working example with bibliography (MWEB) that illustrates your problem. Reproducing the problem and finding out what the issue is will be much easier when we see compilable code, starting with \documentclass{...} and ending with \end{document}. – dexteritas Nov 24 '22 at 10:43
It makes little sense to number an author-year bibliography if you still cite author-year. The numbers would just distract from the author-year label... – moewe Nov 24 '22 at 17:12
You could try style=numeric, citestyle=authoryear. This would mean the citation is still in the (author, year) format, but that the bibliography includes numbers. – Vebjorn Nov 24 '22 at 18:44
