JabRef is an open source cross-platform bibliography reference manager that uses the BibTeX file format.

JabRef is an open source cross-platform bibliography reference manager that uses the BibTeX file format. The manager is thus a front-end to generating and maintaining BibTeX bibliography databases. It also offers a BibLaTeX mode though.

JabRef is written in Java and runs on the Java VM. A description of the features of the manager is available on the jabref.org site.

Technical questions regarding JabRef, e.g., problems in getting JabRef to run on a particular operating system, should be asked in JabRef's support forum.
