The tag concerns publishing journal articles based on (La)TeX documents. Many if not most scientific journals accept (and in many cases recommend) submitting article manuscripts in LaTeX format. Many publishers, commercial and open access, have specific class files for their journals. A tags that can be related is , the Elsevier document class. Many other publishers have publisher wide or journal specific packages, for example AGU journals and Copernicus.
