Questions tagged [modiagram]

{modiagram} is for questions specifically related to the creation of Molecular Orbital diagrams in LaTeX, using the modiagram package.

modiagram is a package that provides the environment MOdiagram and some commands, to create molecular orbital diagrams using TikZ.

For example, the MO diagram of dihydrogen would be written as:

\begin{MOdiagram}
  \atom{left}{ 1s = {0;up} }
  \atom{right}{ 1s = {0;up} }
  \molecule{ 1sMO = {1;pair, } }
\end{MOdiagram}

modiagram and p/sigma orbitals

I'm using the modiagram package and I'm half-way through a text (so I'm eager to get this to work). Now I'm up to filling up p orbitals and hence the σ(pz) orbitals. I'm taught that the z axis is the bonding axis and that it is the p(z) orbitals…

Connect command in modiagram not recognising AO name

I'm trying to build a MO diagram for the HF molecule, since the MO's in question are not formed by s-s or p-p combination I must use AO command to build both the AO's and the MO's, or at least was the solution I found. That said I've come up with…

Modiagram will not compile

I am trying to work with the modiagram package, and it doesn't work. It isn't even running the code that I copied directly from the package documentation. This is the code that I copied: \begin{modiagram} \atom{left}{ 1s = { 0; pair} , 2s…
