MusiXTeX is a set of TeX macros for typesetting music, from single measures to whole scores.
Originally written as MusicTeX by Daniel Taupin, it uses a three stage process: TeXing the score once produces a file to be fed to musixflx for determining the spacing between notes and bars in order to fill the line; another TeX run produces the final result.
It can be used with both Plain TeX and LaTeX.
