I have started using TeX and LaTeX 2.09 as university student in 1987/1988 with an own compiled TeX 2.0 system on VAX Unix BSD and Sun Solaris work stations. (Some years later this was replaced by a re-build teTeX system.)

In the 199x/200x years I was active in TeX usenet groups and TeX mailing lists.

During these years I attended many TeX conferences. Some of my talks and conference papers can be found when searching for my name (e.g., my tutorial about BibTeX or the very old paper about "Sorting in TeX's Mouth").

Nowadays I restart to use (La)TeX again.
