I have been in UX since it was called "HCI" or "usability". I was a professor at Carnegie Mellon's Human-Computer Interaction Institute for 25 years and head of the Masters in HCI program for a dozen. I primarily taught HCI methods at the graduate level and to government and industry organizations. My research was in predictive human performance modeling and the relationship between usability and software architecture.

I have been in industry since 2010, designing complex systems for high-knowledge users. I currently work at Bloomberg LLC.
