น่ะ • (nâ)

1. (colloquial) particle used at the end of a sentence to make it softer, more persuasive or less abrupt.

   ตอนนั้นป้าออกไปซื้อของข้างนอกน่ะ

   dtɔɔn nán bpâa ɔ̀ɔk bpai sʉ́ʉ kɔ̌ɔng kâang-nɔ̂ɔk nâ

   At that time, auntie went shopping outside.

2. (colloquial) particle used after a noun or a phrase to highlight it as the topic of the sentence.

   หนังสือเล่มนี้น่ะ แพงมากเลย

   nǎng-sʉ̌ʉ lêm níi nâ · pɛɛng mâak ləəi

   This book is pricey.

   ตอนที่พูดเรื่องนี้ออกไปน่ะ สีหน้าเขาดูไม่ดีเท่าไหร่

   dtɔɔn tîi pûut rʉ̂ʉang níi ɔ̀ɔk bpai nâ · sǐi-nâa kǎo duu mâi dii tâo-rài

   When [I] told him about this, he looks unhappy.
