I'm interested in learning everything I can about woodworking. I wish I could have learned more about it when I was younger, but I suppose it's easier now since I have a career and can spend a little money on tools and projects. I still believe experience and know how will trump all the most expensive tools and I look forward to learning from all the experts on this site.

I live in the Pacific Northwest and like to spend time in the mountains hiking, snowboarding, fly fishing, rock climbing, etc. Aside from woodworking I'm learning the art of leather craft and have visions of eventually combining the two crafts together. I'm married and we have a son. I did a stint in the Marine Corps and now work in nuclear security. Its a bit boring but our schedule gives me quite a bit of family and hobby time!
