How to know if a beginning 'v' is pronounced /f/ or /v/?
A 'v' in the beginning of a word can be pronounced in one of two ways:
/f/: Vater, verrückt, vier, Vogel.
/v/: Vanille, Verb, Villa, Vokal, vulgär.
