For questions about using IK in rigging. Inverse Kinematics is the opposite of the default Forward Kinematics. Instead of posing each bone in a chain from the base to the tip, IK solves the rotations of preceding bone(s) in the chain automatically based on the position of the IK-constrained bone.

I don't see the inverse kinematics in Blender 3.0?
Could someone tell me how I add an inverse kinematics object constraint in Blender 3.0? I selected a bone in Pose Mode, then in Properties > Object Constraint Properties > Add Object Constraint, but I don't have the IK option in the menu

IK only moving the last bone of the chain
I have this skeleton for a cow :
With this property for both IK bones :
The problem that I have is that when moving the front leg, the bone directly connected to my bone with IK constraints will not rotate. The angle will stay exactly the same. If…

Inverse kinematics acting weird
I added a rig with both forward and inverse kinematics but whenever I move the right hand then for some reason the left arm moves in a weird way, same withe the feet.
I have already checked and every bone is labelled correctly and no bone…

What vectors does the IK constraint align when using a Pole Target?
For a research project, I need to reimplement Blender's constraints with behaviour as close as possible to their Blender implementation. I am currently struggling to understand how the inverse kinematics (IK) constraint uses the pole target in its…

Why is my pole target not locking the angle of my IK leg?
I'm trying to rig a humanoid low poly character in Blender 2.82, starting with its legs. For this, I've been following two different tutorials on YouTube but they fail me at the same point :

IK Rig is broken on one half
A very common IK rig problem I always get is that on one half of the rig ( in terms of circular movement of the empty ) the rig completely glitches and behaves broken. It is flipping around and does not correctly behave at all like on the " right "…

IK/Spline IK Armature Controllers binding to respective bone
I've created a rig with IK Controllers for the hands/feet and a Spline IK system for the tail, both of which work rather well for my purposes. However, I want to improve their functionality by binding them to their respective bones so that their…

Ugly deformation for wrist and shoulder with IK
New here.
I've been implementing some basic IK stuff for a rig of mine. The arms, the legs, etc. Overall I'm happy with how it's been going, but there is a problem.
Whenever I go to push the rig's arms into a more complicated position (in this case,…

inverse kinematics with bone constraints only work, if i stop cursor movement and release mouse button
Is it normal, that my inverse kinematics movement which is restricted by a bone constraint only works, if i release the mouse button?
e.g. -> movement restricted to x rotation. I can move with IK in any direction, so it "ignores" my constraint. If i…
